Texas native singer/songwriter Jeff Smithart draws no boundaries with his blend of Texas, Nashville, Southern Rock, and Honkytonk music in his all encompassing trademark style of "Redneck Country". Growing up just north of Dallas, TX Jeff was surrounded by great music, and a talented family, including Blues Icon, the late Stevie Ray Vaughn. A seasoned entertainer, Jeff has performed for the past 30 years and has developed a strong and loyal Texas fan base that enjoys his High energy yet down to earth shows. Some say its like Brooks and Dunn meets Alan Jackson. Redneck Proud set to release in 2009 was put on hold due to the death of long time friend, producer and label owner Brandon Lynn Shane. With all legalities now resolved and full controll of the project in Jeff's hands alone, his path is set.
In 2010 Jeff completed a summer acoustic tour of central and coastal bend area Texas with singer/songwriters Tim Fralik and Mark Sebby with great response.
Jeff is now with new management, "5 Artist Management", booking, "Mountain Creek Promotions" and Texas Indie Record Label, "Private Stock Records".
Jeff's Debut CD “Redneck Proud”, is now set to be released spring 2011, though recorded in Nashville at Panda and Highland Studios, Jeff stayed true to his Texas roots, A smooth blend of true Texas Honkytonk on the sweet edge of Southern Rock, Pours out as Jeff Smithart's trademark style of Redneck Country. Thirteen trail blazing songs, six penned by Smithart and seven others such as “Psycho Daisy Mae” and “It don't get no better than this” written by Bud Tower who wrote “Red white and pink slip Blues” by “Hank Williams Jr.” and the title cut “God and Guns” by “Lynyrd Skynyrd”. Also on the CD is “What turns you on” Written by “Tom Paden” who has Cuts by “George Strait, Reba McEntire, Tammy Wynette, and Kenny Rogers to name a few. A remix of the late blues icon and Smithart family member Stevie Ray Vaughn's “Pride and Joy” has been added as a tribute.
Jeff is currently on the road with his 2011 Redneck Proud Tour, more dates are planned in support of the tour and will be scheduled with both acoustic and full band performances.
